2024/2025 Reading challenge

Battle of the Books returns to BASA from October 1st - December 1st!

Last spring, students and teachers competed to see who could read more books. In the end, the students were victorious! But this year, the teachers are ready to read more than ever!

Throughout October and November, students can earn points by reading books. Any book counts, but novels are worth more points than picture books or graphic novels. Students who take in-person classes can record the books they’ve read on the bulletin boards at the BASA office. Online students can record what they read on this spreadsheet: Battle of the Books - Fall 2024

In December, we’ll tally up the points to see which side has won!

NEW THIS YEAR: We will also keep track of which individual students score the most points. The top three students in Grades K-2 and Grades 3+ will be crowned as this year’s REMARKABLE READERS!
