Palindrome Poetry Contest
The month of January is named after the Roman god, Janus, who has two faces: one looking forward and one looking backwards. Palindromes poems are a lot like Janus’ two faces because they are poems that are read both forwards and backwards, often revealing a new meaning.
Write a palindrome poem that plays with direction: writing forwards, backwards, in reverse, with opposite meanings, or write while hanging upside down! (Well, be careful).
This could be an acrostic poem that uses a palindrome word, a mirror poem that starts the same way as it finishes, or a line-by-line palindrome poem of your making!
Read the following poems for inspirations and submit your poem before February 12th .
