Private Classes
Superior communication skills ensure success. For over 30 years, BASA has been helping young people to develop those skills. Using literature to hone speaking proficiency, develop critical thinking, and improve writing skills, our classes are tailored to the needs of individual students. Our program prepares students for success in all types of environments, from interviews and school projects to speeches, debates, performances, networking, and life.
Students cover a spectrum of skills, including:
Clarity, volume, and projection
Body language and facial expression
Greetings and conversation skills
Creative and persuasive writing
Critical thinking and decision-making
Confident presentation and communication
Grades: K – 12
25 minutes of instructional time
gROup classes
Hosted by our Creative Voices teachers and featuring a cast of eclectic characters, students will use their imagination in educational exercises, games and songs, to develop their strong, confident and creative voices.
Our Creative Voices class takes place in person at the BASA studio.
Students will learn to:
Greet and interact with peers and adults
Organize ideas with creativity and clarity
Work together to bring stories to life
Use both face and body to communicate
Use their imaginations to generate new ideas
Preschool Age (3 - 5 years old)
50 minutes of instructional time
Festival Masterclass is for students interested in participating in External Speech Arts Festivals during the entire school year! This monthly group Masterclass will give students the opportunity to build community with like-minded students, to complement their existing speech arts classes with more in-depth rehearsal, and to foster a sense of healthy competition.
