Judith Viorst is an American writer, newpaper journalist and psychoanalysis researcher known for many of her pieces of literature. Notable works include "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" and "The Tenth Good Thing About Barney." Viorst is most famous for her children's literature and has revieced numerous awards including the New Jersey Institude of Technology Award (1969) and the Silver Pencil Award (1973).
